Nigeria’s Integrity Film Awards (HomeVida)  an initiative of Public and private development Centre 

Is an annual  film award events driving creative messaging on integrity and value change through the FILM channel to Nigerian and African audiences. The platform provides incentives for talented Nigerian film makers to mainstream integrity values in their films. HomeVida hopes to expand to capture film makers across Africa. The award events hold on 9th December world anti-corruption day each year. It is designed as a partnership between nonprofit, public and private organizations to promote core national and corporate values that are the foundation for nation building. It provides tremendous opportunity for brand promotion, reinforcement and opens a wonderful opportunity for your organizations to tap into the over 250 million Nollywood enthusiasts in Africa and the Diaspora.


HomeVida Objectives:

a) Providing incentive for promotion of core national values through film,

b) Promoting and introducing skilled young professionals into the Nigerian film industry,

c) Promoting improvements in the technical and messaging standards in the Nigerian Film Industry (Nollywood)

d) Promoting creative partnerships between public, private and the Non Profit sector in the use of the film platform for   promotion of core national values and promotion of businesses, business brands and products.


The platform currently gives awards in two categories;
Short Script Writing Competition which is targeted at young people between the ages of 16 – 30 years. Short film script entries are received through our website The Jury evaluates and selects winning scripts that meet preset criteria for each prize. The platform provides financial support to turn the short scripts into short films which are premiered at the award event part of the celebration of world anti-corruption day each year.

Feature film category; As in the short script competition, pre-set criteria is advertised widely each year, the public nominates  films they believe  meet the preset criteria through our website and the Jury evaluates and  shortlist two (2) films for each prize category that best meet the criteria. The shortlisted films are promoted on the internet/radio and TV; they are put up for voting by the public through SMS messaging bar code, website and HomeVida Phone Application. The winning entry for each prize category is announced and receives an award with a prize money of  N1,000,000 prize in an award event held on 9th December world anti-corruption day each year.

The platform plans to introduce other categories of endowments and awards for films and individual accomplishments that promote its objectives

Our Reach:
Within the past four years we have designed this platform to consistently work, connect with people of all ages through the year. We have constructed a number of Electronic and Social media platforms to reach out to our targeted audience. Such medium are HomeVida Phone Application (Downloadable at Blackberry App World) which enables stakeholders more effectively interact with its program. Messaging promoting HomeVida and its partners airs on channel 114 of African Magic and channel 128 of Africa Magic Entertainment respectively across Africa on the DSTV and also behind the scene footage of the short films produced this year will also be streamed on Africa Magic.
